Chicken from Canada that may be contaminated with listeria

A Canadian company, Inovata Foods, is recalling several thousand pounds of frozen chicken entrees distributed to several places in the United States. According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, the chickens may be contaminated with listeria.

Sold under the label “Discover Cuisine,” the chickens were discovered by FSIS to be contaminated through routine testing. Though rare, listeriosis can be fatal if contracted by unhealthy people. It can also lead to miscarriages.
