The number of E. coli cases linked to iceberg lettuce processed in Detroit has risen to 35, according to the Detroit News.
The company, Aunt Mid’s, has suspended shipments while it continues to search for the source of the E. coli. The lettuce was only shipped to restaurants and institutions, not to grocery stores.
Five people have been hospitalized in Illinois, thirteen in Michigan.
