Public health officials in the small town of Alamosa, Colorado, are baffled by the salmonella outbreak, with 20 confirmed cases and many more unconfirmed.
It’s more serious than most cases of salmonella, according to the Valley Courier newspaper, because most of the victims are children, who can dehydrate more quickly than adults and become seriously ill.
