FDA WARNS CONSUMERS ABOUT TOMATOES

The FDA is urging consumers in New Mexico and Texas to stop eating raw tomatoes until they find the source of a salmonella outbreak that has been linked to the fruit.

SALMONELLA OUTBREAK IN NEW MEXICO

Six people have been hospitalized in New Mexico from salmonella poisoning, but officials have not yet pinpointed the source, according to the Las Cruces Sun-News.
Public health officials are investigating the state’s 19 cases following the Memorial Day weekend, looking for any sign of a common source.

Public health officials in New Mexico are warning Albuquerque residents and others that they may have been exposed to Hepatitis A at one of two IHOPs there.
