According to the New York Post, a woman has filed a $1 million lawsuit against Baguettes and Co. on Park Place for contracting salmonella from something served at the restaurant. The manager said it’s the first he’s heard of it.

Ground beef that may contain pieces of plastic is being recalled by the New York processor, Fairbank Reconstruction, according to the USDA. The meat products were produced on May 3, and were distributed to retail establishments in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York.

Gourmet Boutique, a New York food company, is recalling almost 300,000 pounds of its fresh and frozen meat and poultry products because of possible listeria contamination.
